TBest Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our clients electronics manufacturing team in Elkridge, MD. This is a hands-on role responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of electronic components, cable and harness assemblies, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and completed electro-mechanical products. The position involves both in-process and final inspections, ensuring compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities
Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections of components, harnesses, PCBs, and assemblies.
Utilize precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, multimeters, Hi-Pot testers, continuity testers, and microscopes.
Obtain IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification by passing a baseline inspection assessment.
Review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions for accuracy and manufacturability.
Document inspection results, maintain quality records, and ensure audit readiness.
Identify and analyze non-conformances; recommend and support corrective actions.
Assist in developing inspection manuals, process documentation, and training materials.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and vendors to resolve quality issues.
Support process improvements by refining test equipment, inspection methods, and fixtures.
Contribute to time estimates for customer proposals when required.
Promote a safe workplace by adhering to safety standards and halting unsafe activities.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing quality inspection, or equivalent technical training (vocational school, military, or accredited program).
Solid knowledge of quality systems, standards, and inspection methodologies.
Hands-on experience with electronic and electro-mechanical components.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and within a team.
Demonstrated work ethic, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
Openness to cross-training and continuous skill development.
