We are a family-run dairy farm milking 210 cows with 4 Lely robotic milkers . We are looking for a dependable, observant, hands-on person who takes pride in doing physical work well and paying attention to details. This is not a desk job . It is real, physical work caring for animals and maintaining a well-run farm operation. Robotic dairy farming combines livestock care, technology, and problem solving . We are looking for someone who can learn our herd management and robotic milking systems quickly and take ownership of breeding and cow care responsibilities as they gain experience. Robotic dairy experience is not required . We will train the right person who is reliable, observant, and willing to learn.
Daily work includes
- Scraping alleys and managing manure
- Bedding and maintaining clean stalls
- Moving select cows to robots
- Cleaning and maintaining robotic milking equipment
- Assisting with fresh cows and post-calving care
- Helping identify and treat sick cows
- Operating a skid loader for daily barn tasks
- Watching cattle behavior and noticing health changes
- General barn and facility upkeep
As experience grows, responsibilities may expand to include:
- Breeding cows
- Herd health treatments
- Fresh cow monitoring
- Robot system oversight
Schedule
- 40–45 hours per week
- Flexible start time between 5:00–8:00 AM
- Rotating weekends required
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift approximately 50 lbs
- Comfortable working around livestock, manure, equipment, and outdoor conditions
- Reliable attendance
