TBest Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to support one of our clients in the electronics manufacturing industry.
This role is responsible for managing purchasing, procurement, supplier relationships, inventory planning, material availability, and supply chain coordination to support production schedules. The Supply Chain Manager will supervise the purchasing/procurement team and work closely with leadership, production, engineering, quality, finance, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure materials are sourced, ordered, received, and available on time.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing supply chain operations, purchasing leadership, vendor management, inventory control, ERP/MRP systems, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Management
Manage the full supply chain process related to purchasing, procurement, materials planning, supplier coordination, and inventory control
Ensure materials, components, and supplies are available to support production schedules
Monitor lead times, material shortages, supplier delays, cost changes, and inventory risks
Develop solutions to prevent production delays and improve material flow
Support continuous improvement across purchasing and supply chain processes
Purchasing and Procurement Leadership
Supervise the purchasing/procurement team and support daily purchasing activities
Review purchase orders, supplier quotes, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
Ensure purchasing activity aligns with production needs, quality standards, and budget expectations
Improve purchasing workflows, approval processes, documentation, and follow-up
Support team accountability, training, and performance within the purchasing function
Vendor and Supplier Management
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
Evaluate supplier performance based on delivery, quality, pricing, responsiveness, and reliability
Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and service expectations when needed
Resolve supplier issues related to delays, shortages, quality concerns, or pricing discrepancies
Identify backup suppliers and sourcing options to reduce supply chain risk
Inventory and Materials Planning
Monitor inventory levels, material usage, and demand requirements
Work with production and operations teams to prevent shortages, overstock, and production delays
Support inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and materials tracking
Review usage trends and help improve forecasting and planning processes
Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to maintain efficient material flow
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with leadership and key stakeholders on supply chain priorities
Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, finance, warehouse, and operations teams
Provide updates on purchasing activity, supplier performance, material risks, and cost-saving opportunities
Support production planning by ensuring required materials are ordered and received on time
Communicate supply chain issues clearly and escalate urgent risks when needed
Reporting and Process Improvement
Prepare reports related to purchasing, inventory, supplier performance, lead times, and supply chain activity
Analyze costs, purchasing trends, supplier performance, and material availability
Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve delivery timelines, and strengthen supplier reliability
Develop and improve procedures for purchasing, procurement, inventory, and vendor management
Support process improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
Requirements
5+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, procurement, materials management, or manufacturing operations
2+ years of experience supervising or leading purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials staff
Experience in electronics, electro-mechanical, industrial, contract manufacturing, or production environments preferred
Strong knowledge of purchasing, supplier management, lead times, inventory control, and materials planning
Experience with ERP/MRP systems, purchasing platforms, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office
Ability to manage supplier issues, material shortages, delivery delays, and cost concerns
Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills with suppliers, leadership, and internal departments
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment
Preferred Experience
Electronics manufacturing or electro-mechanical assembly environment
Purchasing electronic components, hardware, cables, assemblies, or production materials
Supplier scorecards and vendor performance tracking
ERP/MRP system use in a production-driven environment
Inventory planning, demand planning, or production materials coordination
Cost reduction, workflow standardization, and process improvement
