Job Description

We are hiring an Electrical Program Engineer to support production of custom electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role focused on BOM management, electrical schematics, ECOs, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Own program builds from engineering release through completed production (schedule, accuracy, issue resolution)
• Create and maintain multi-level BOMs, ensuring all components, revisions, and alternates are accurate and production-ready
• Validate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assemblies prior to release (no missing or incorrect components)
• Manage ECOs and revision changes across BOMs, drawings, and active builds
• Serve as first escalation point for production issues (assembly, wiring, test failures); drive root cause and corrective actions
• Support NPI builds by verifying documentation, materials, and test readiness before first production run
• Identify and resolve mismatches between BOMs, schematics, and physical builds on the floor
• Partner with supply chain to resolve part shortages, substitutions, and component compatibility issues
• Work with production and quality to reduce rework, delays, and build errors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, program, or product engineering
• Experience working with electrical schematics, wiring, and electro-mechanical assemblies
• Hands-on experience creating and managing BOMs in a production environment
• Experience with ECOs, revision control, and configuration management
• Background supporting assembly, wiring, or test processes (not design-only roles)
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical or system-level issues in production

Preferred

• Experience in custom or contract manufacturing environments
• Exposure to testing and validation of electronic assemblies
• Experience with PLM / ERP systems (ENOVIA, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

Benefits

• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off (PTO) and holidays
• Life and disability insurance

Location: Elkridge, MD
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000
