Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our infrastructure operations and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for daily environmental monitoring of the data center, maintenance support for servers and network equipment, structured cabling management, and initial troubleshooting of infrastructure issues. Extensive experience is not required; a foundational knowledge of data center operations is sufficient. The core requirements are a strong sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the data center environment and inspect equipment status.
- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of servers, network devices, and cooling systems.
- Organize and manage cables to ensure safety, orderliness, and clear identification.
- Install and maintain structured cabling systems.
- Identify cables, ports, connections, and infrastructure nodes.
- Support data center expansion and infrastructure projects.
- Perform basic monitoring of IT and network infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve physical connectivity and cabling issues.
- Provide initial support for infrastructure faults.
- Log incidents and activities.
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with technical and support teams to resolve incidents.
- Support the daily operations of mission-critical environments.
Qualifications
- Experience in cable management, cabling, and structured cabling.
- Experience in data center operations and basic infrastructure monitoring.
- Troubleshooting skills for physical connectivity, cabling, and infrastructure issues.
- Basic knowledge of IT networking and infrastructure, including IP, VLAN, and network equipment.
- Understanding of physical security protocols and organizational workflows within a data center.
- Technical education background in telecommunications, networking, information technology, or a related field.
- Prior work experience in a data center or equipment room is preferred.
- Strong team collaboration skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work shifts as required by operational needs.
- Language requirements: Mandarin Chinese and English.
