TBest Services Inc. is seeking a Machine Builder for a client in Elkridge, Maryland.
This role involves building complete industrial machines and mechanical systems from engineering drawings. The position requires strong mechanical skills, precision assembly, and the ability to work independently on complex builds.
Key Responsibilities
Build industrial machines, conveyors, and mechanical systems from blueprints
Assemble frames, structures, and mechanical components into complete systems
Perform precision alignment, fitting, and adjustment of moving parts
Install and integrate mechanical subassemblies into final equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and bills of materials
Verify tolerances, alignment, and mechanical performance
Troubleshoot and correct mechanical issues during the build process
Support testing and ensure equipment operates as intended
Requirements
Experience in machine building or complex mechanical assembly
Ability to read and work from mechanical blueprints independently
Strong mechanical aptitude (alignment, tolerances, fitting, adjustments)
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (calipers, torque wrenches)
Ability to build assemblies from start to finish without supervision
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred
Experience with conveyors, automation equipment, or industrial machinery
Background in automotive, heavy equipment, or custom machine builds
Experience working with large mechanical systems or rotating equipment
Work Environment
Manufacturing or machine build facility
Work with large-scale industrial equipment and mechanical systems
PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots)

Pay Rate: $21–$25 per hour (weekly pay)
