Job Title: Instrument Technician

Job Location: Maryland Oral Surgery Associates, Annapolis, MD

We are looking for a diligent oral surgery Instrument Scrubber/Technician to support our oral surgeon and assistants before and after each dental procedure. Your responsibilities will include preparing surgical equipment and tending to patients. You will also be required to monitor inventory levels and replenish our dental supplies, as needed.

To be successful as an instrument tech, you should be highly organized and attentive OSHA regulations as well as to assistants needs.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols.
Assist the surgeon and assistants with operatory setup and cleanup.
Provide patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative outcomes.
Monitor stock of surgical supplies, medication, and replenish as needed.
Ensure that instruments and equipment are effectively maintained.
Provide excellent patient care.
Required Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
Will accept and train those with little experience as a medical assistant or dental assistant.
Willingness to learn Front or Back-Office
Great organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to provide excellent patient care, even under stressful circumstances.
Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
Dental Assisting experience preferred, but not required.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM shift M- F
Special Requirements:
Working on-site is essential to the function of this position.
Must be able to stand up to 90% of the time at minimum.
Physical requirements include standing for extended periods of time, and moving constantly between OP rooms
