Job Description

We are hiring an HVAC Service Technician for an established residential service company in the Baltimore area with a steady volume of service calls and an existing customer base. The company operates with organized dispatch and a service-focused approach built on repeat business.

This role focuses on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of residential systems, including heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, ductless, and tankless equipment. Work is performed on local routes with a predictable schedule and steady workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of residential HVAC systems, including heat pumps, gas furnaces, boilers, ductless systems, and tankless units
• Complete scheduled service and preventative maintenance in line with company and manufacturer standards
• Identify root causes of system issues and determine appropriate repair solutions
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers
• Coordinate with dispatch to manage service calls and maintain schedule adherence
• Document service work and system conditions accurately
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment
• Follow safety standards and company procedures
• Assist with additional service or light installation work as needed

Requirements

 

• Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience (service or strong maintenance background)
• Ability to troubleshoot systems independently or with minimal supervision
• EPA Universal (CFC) Certification
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills

 

Preferred
• Journeyman license
• Experience working across multiple HVAC system types

 

Work Structure

• Field-based role covering the Baltimore area (local routes)
• Typically 3–5 service calls per day
• Primarily residential service with some light commercial work
• Combination of diagnostics, repair, and maintenance
• Scheduled service calls with defined routing and dispatch support
