Job Title: Kits Task Organizer (Kitting Specialist)

Position Overview
Tbest Services is seeking a detail-oriented Kits Task Organizer to support our electro-mechanical manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for preparing complete, accurate kits of parts, hardware, and documentation required for assembly builds.
Kitting ensures that assemblers receive everything they need—organized, verified, and ready—so production can begin immediately without delays.
This position plays a critical role in improving throughput, minimizing errors, and maintaining production efficiency.
What Is Kitting?
Kitting is the process of collecting, organizing, counting, and packaging all components required to complete a specific build or assembly.
Instead of assemblers searching for parts, the kitting specialist prepares a complete “build-ready” package in advance.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and organize parts according to Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and revisions for accuracy
- Count and package fasteners, hardware, wiring, connectors, PCBs, and sub-components
- Prepare consumables such as labels, heat shrink, terminals, and zip ties
- Include all required documentation (work instructions, revision sheets, diagrams)
- Stage kits in designated production areas
- Work closely with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Assembly teams
- Perform inventory checks and report shortages or discrepancies
- Maintain clean, organized kitting and staging areas
- Ensure ERP system accuracy when pulling materials
- Industries & Build Types Supported
- This role supports manufacturing operations such as:
- Electro-mechanical assemblies (ATO builds)
- Control panel building
- Wiring harness assembly
- PCB and box builds
- Industrial mechanical assemblies
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of warehouse, kitting, material handling, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret BOMs and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and counting accuracy
- Basic computer skills (ERP experience is a plus)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electro-mechanical or industrial manufacturing
- Familiarity with fasteners and hardware identification (M3, M4, etc.)
- Inventory control or cycle counting experience
- Experience working with production teams
