Job Summary
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for staff and visitors.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events as needed
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment is a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check.
